Sells products in about 30,000 stores across the country, in which EDI is used for 22 retailers
ACCTivate! user, SonicScrubbers® imports and distributes power cleaning tools to make cleaning faster and easier and in most cases achieve better results than manual cleaning.
The idea for the SonicScrubber® product line derived from a thought that came across a mother while she cleaned dry toothpaste from her bathroom sink with an electric toothbrush.
She questioned why there weren’t any power cleaning tools that could help her clean. She presented the idea to her husband, Aaron Cobabe, the current SonicScrubbers COO.
“We pursued from that point to do a lot of consumer research. I got my partners involved and from that research we found that there was an opportunity that hadn’t really been addressed in the market,” Cobabe said.
After finalizing the SonicScrubber product and bringing it to the market they found that the product had a variety of uses.
“People would buy it to clean their grout lines, for example and then discover that it works great for cleaning out their window sills, muddy shoes, dishes, pots and pans, or refrigerator, so we came out with different models so we could avoid the cross contamination between the bathroom and other areas of the house,” Cobabe said. “Then people were taking it into their garage and detailing their car.”
SonicScrubbers now has models for cleaning specific areas such as the Bathroom SonicScrubber®, the Kitchen & Household SonicScrubber®, and the ProDetailer SonicScrubber® designed for automotive detailing.
They are also introducing SonicScrubber models into various industries, such as hospitality, healthcare and contract cleaning that target cleaning professionals.
SonicScrubber products are known for simplifying the cleaning process for anyone, but they especially make the job easier for Arthritis sufferers. After hearing positive feedback from customers with Arthritis, Sonic Scrubbers contacted the Arthritis Foundation to find out how to work with them.
The Arthritis Foundation currently recommends SonicScrubber products for their ease of use. The process for the recommendation wasn’t easy and was achieved after a thorough evaluation by a university.
“We had to pass that [evaluation] and we did so with flying colors and off the charts scores from people that suffer from arthritis giving it very positive feedback,” Cobabe said.
Since the company was founded in 2003, SonicScrubbers has grown significantly. Currently their products are sold in about 30,000 stores across the country and have been featured on QVC and many other channels through direct response television advertising.
In the years to come, SonicScrubbers plans to have more distribution, a broader product line and to expand further into international markets. Currently they are focused in the United States, but are already selling in Europe, Asia, Mexico and Canada.
