Texas Barcode Systems (TBS) was established in 1996 and is a premier provider of Automated Identification solutions using wired and wireless networks, performance bar code printers, mobile computing, scanning and custom software.

According to the TBS website, their mission is "to provide quality solutions, service and support to customers that require performance based Auto ID integration".

The company specializes in the installation and maintenance of a variety of hardware and also delivers software solutions and manufactures their own printer labels and ribbons.

Installation of wireless networks and label printing systems is done by the service team, which is composed of certified RF hardware engineers. This team is also responsible for service and warranty of products like Intermec, Symbol and Zebra among others.

TBS software solutions vary from single user to broad, enterprise applications and are provided by the software engineers. In addition to developing software programs, this team installs the software, trains its users and provides support for the software.

The special printer labels and ribbons created by the TBS media team are manufactured to reduce maintenance of wear and tear on printer heads. They also allow TBS customers to minimize service costs accrued by their products over the years.

In an effort to keep overall costs down for their customers, the TBS team provides continual training and technical support to their customers free of charge. They strongly believe that proper training of the users is essential to keep printers working properly, in turn, cutting down on service expenses.

The bad economy had its impact on the company by slowing down sales, but an increasing need for professional services grew among customers.

By adapting to current customer needs and with improvements starting to show in the economy, TBS estimates a 30% increase in revenue for 2010.

TBS uses ACCTivate! to manage their business and they also partner with ACCTivate! to provide customers interested in mobile computing with the proper hardware.
