Teko, LLC, a wholesaler of high performance outdoor socks with a strong focus on sustainability, has gained enhanced inventory control with ACCTivate! as their business management software since 2008.
QuickBooks alone and spreadsheets were not handling their inventory very well, so they began the search for a system that could. In their search,
they came across ACCTivate!.
"We chose ACCTivate! because within our budget it seemed like the best solution for an inventory management software," Owen Hammond,
Director of Operations said. "We weren't able to afford a $100,000 solution."
The fact that ACCTivate! integrates with QuickBooks, attracted them as well.
"It's way better than just using QuickBooks. QuickBooks was running really slow for us before we got ACCTivate!. It was just overrun with data and
in QuickBooks you can't do reporting like you can with ACCTivate!," Hammond said.
Using Crystal Reports®, which integrates with ACCTivate!, Teko is able to do a lot more customized reports than they had the capability to do with
just QuickBooks. They have also found that compared to solely using QuickBooks they are able to manage and update their products a lot easier.
"It's really the difference of working with a sort of proprietary accounting package versus the SQL database," Hammond said.
Before ACCTivate!, they relied on their manufacturing factory to do their inventory management. Now with ACCTivate!, Teko has been able to take direct control
of their inventory and improve their ability to manage customers and sales orders.
"So now that we have control of our inventory we are able to have real-time data and to provide our customers with information they need right away,"
Hammond said. "Anytime that we need to make updates or changes we can do that and inform our sales reps and customers as we need to."
In addition to the ACCTivate! solutions and features that have improved Teko's business operations, they also recognize the customer service and support
ACCTivate! provides.
"It's been great to get the constant updates, when it [ACCTivate!] went up to version 7, I think that that was a major improvement. And the customer
service and the ACCTivate! team is really good to work with, very responsive and I like it that [Alterity is] always looking to improve the software.," Hammond said.
