Some trading partners require an Advanced Shipping Notice (856 transaction) and a UCC128 label. The following windows briefly illustrate the steps involved in processing these transactions.
Shipping Manager
The Shipping Manager is used to generate the correct information for an EDI 856. It allows you take one or more sales orders and group their contents into physical cartons for shipment using the Shipment Preparation wizard and the Shipment Packaging window.
Shipment Preparation
This wizard prepares shipments in ACCTivate! by combining the sales orders for the trading partner into shipments.
Shipment Packaging
This window allows for the packaging of the shipments prepared in the Shipment Preparation wizard, so that they can be shipped.
The shipments are packaged into cartons according to the shipment method, which can be Pick and Pack, Standard Pack or No Pack. If Pick and Pack is selected, items and quantities can be mixed and matched on a per carton basis in this window. This window also contains shipment information and carrier information.
After packaging is completed, a UCC128 label can be printed if needed.

Print UCC128 labels
All UCC128 labels are designed by the ACCTivate! Implementation team using Crystal Reports®. After shipments have been prepared and packaged with the Shipping Manager the UCC128 labels can be printed in ACCTivate!.
Print UPS, FedEx, DHL shipping labels
Automatically print shipping labels from the resulting order packaging information combined with pre-determined weights obtained from the ACCTivate! database with ACCTivate!'s Shipping Workstation Interface.
Send Advanced Shipping Notice (856) to trading partner
The ACCTivate! EDI Manager sends shipment notifications for the shipments to the
TrueCommerce Transaction Manager, which will then send them to the trading partner.
Release sales orders for invoicing
For an EDI 810 transaction, the sales orders are first released for invoicing in ACCTivate!.
The Invoice Preparation wizard batch prepares sales orders for invoicing by setting the workflow status of the orders to shipped.
Send invoices (810) to trading partner
After releasing the orders for invoicing, the ACCTivate! EDI Manager is used to send the invoices to the
TrueCommerce Transaction Manager, which will then send them to the trading partner.
