Sales order process

There are several procedures that individually initiate the sales order process. Examples of preliminary procedures are illustrated below in the first part of the flowchart. When these are completed they lead to a sales order and the rest of the sales order process.

The second part of the flowchart illustrates the most typical type of sales order, which involves receiving and entering an order for a product, then processing the paperwork for that order and shipping the products from your location.

The credit memo process

A Credit Memo is a simple process that is typically done when a customer returns a product to you for credit or refund. These products are usually returned to inventory so they can be resold.

Counter sales

The Counter Invoice sales process involves all aspects of order entry, product delivery and invoicing in three steps all done at the same time.

For example: An existing customer walks into your location and selects items for purchase. Complete a Counter Invoice Sale by entering the sales order for those items and then printing an invoice to provide to them. The customer walks out of the store with the items he/she purchased and an invoice for them as well.
