Software Updates

The ACCTivate! Software Maintenance plan is designed to provide subscribers with the newest version of ACCTivate!.

This plan includes both web-updates and full-version releases. CYMA users recognize it as SMP, while QuickBooks users recognize it as part of the new SMS plan.

Either way, it's the annual subscription that provides you with updates and new version releases.

Without a current subscription, users are not granted access to those updates and releases.

ACCTivation! 2007
Save the Date!

ACCTivation! 2007, the third annual ACCTivate! users conference, will be here before you know it!

It will be held May 8 – 10, 2007 in Arlington, Texas

It's never too early to reserve the date on your calendar!

ACCTivation! 2007 will have presentations like tips & tricks, advanced system usage, Crystal Reports training, question and answer sessions and much more. 

In addition, you can meet the ACCTivate! team and other ACCTivate! users from across the country.

Happy Holidays from the ACCTivate! Team

Offices will be closed

A Time for Giving

This year ACCTivate! employees donated dozens of gifts to underprivileged children through a local non-profit charity.

As part of the 2006 holiday season, toys, games, puzzles and other gifts were donated to the Mission Arlington Christmas Store. Last year, tens of thousands of children received a free holiday gift through this charity.

We're pleased to help brighten the holidays for these less fortunate children.

Business Activity Web Form

Automatically turn a web form into a Business Activity

Users of the ACCTivate! Business Activity Management module add-on can instantly turn web form submissions into business activities, so each can be managed and tracked inside ACCTivate!.

 

Just about any type of information can be turned into a business activity. This can include customer service requests, sales contacts, complaints, suggestions or other general information for your business.

 

After ACCTivate! is configured, your web form is developed and the web form engine (which posts web form information to ACCTivate!) is modified; visitors simply fill out the web form and submit. The necessary information (determined by the modifications to the web form engine) will instantly be available in a business activity.

 

Be more productive with this solution:

·         There is dramatic time savings because ACCTivate! does all the work automatically with instant results.

·         It's no longer necessary to cut and paste information from your email into ACCTivate! for each submission.

·         Web submissions are well-organized with a date and time stamp.

·         Each submission can be assigned to an ACCTivate! user and notes can be kept on each, so you can have a full record of who-did-what.

·         For existing customers, the submission can be instantly linked to that customer's record inside ACCTivate!.

Drop-Shipments Made Easy

What is the Purchasing (Drop-Ship) Wizard?
The ACCTivate! Purchasing Wizard is an add-on module that allows you to easily ship items directly from your vendor to your customer.

The Purchasing Wizard automates the creation of purchase orders for products that go directly to your customers.

The Purchasing Wizard makes short work out of performing drop-shipments.

How does it work?
Any item on a sales order may be selected to be drop-shipped. When the order is completed, the purchasing wizard is used to automatically produce a purchase order to the selected vendor(s). 

The wizard is managed in only one window, so you always know when another purchase order is ready to be created.

Companies doing repeat drop-shipments can save a considerable amount of time with the Purchasing Wizard module. In fact, some companies have reported a weekly time savings in terms of hours saved versus a manual purchase order creation process.

What are the steps needed to complete?

·         Enter products in the sales order as Drop-Ship.

·         Any product may be shipped from any vendor directly to the customer.

·         Products may also be marked as "Drop-Ship Only ".

·         All requests to drop ship are instantly displayed in the purchasing wizard for review prior to the purchase order creation.

·         A preferred vendor is automatically selected for each drop shipment.

·         The preferred vendor may be changed during review.

·         The reviewer may select all drop-shipment requests or process each request individually.

·         Upon completion of the review a purchase order will be automatically created for each sales order / vendor combination that has been selected.

If your company performs drop-shipments from your vendor to your customer, then this module can really save you a lot of time and effort.

More great people have joined the ACCTivate! team

Wesley Finder
Wesley recently joined the ACCTivate! team as an implementation specialist. He brings with him a great deal of experience in project management, call center support, and logistical and retail operations.

His interest in information technologies has inspired him to follow an education and career in business with a focus on information systems.

 

Wesley recently graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems. Throughout his college career he gained knowledge in many areas of study, such as customer relationship and enterprise resource management, business process re-engineering, strategic alignment to corporate goals and balance scorecard.

 

Wesley was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and currently lives in Arlington, Texas. His interests outside the office include long distance running, home improvement projects, various electronic gadgets and spending time with friends and family.

Many enhancements made for the new ACCTivate! release

Enhancements aim to ease usability and accommodate business management needs
Many issues have been corrected as testing continues for the new release and we are nearing the point where users will be able to get their hands on it.

There are many enhancements in this update and here are a couple to look forward to:

In the new release the Report Catalog (shown above) is presented in a "Tree" format for easier usability.

Also, a new feature (shown below) has been added in which email message templates can be created within windows that have email functionality.
