Software Updates

The ACCTivate!
Software Maintenance plan is designed to provide subscribers with the
newest version of ACCTivate!.
This plan includes
both web-updates and full-version releases. CYMA users recognize it as SMP,
while QuickBooks users recognize it as part of the new SMS plan.
Either way, it's
the annual subscription that provides you with updates and new
version releases.
Without a
current subscription, users are not granted access to those updates
and releases.

ACCTivate!
is Awesome!
ACCTivate! software
receives award and recognition at
Sleeter QuickBooks consultant conference
(Las Vegas – November 8, 2006) ACCTivate! was presented
with the "Awesome Add-on Product"
award at the third annual Sleeter
Conference for QuickBooks Professional Advisors.
Ron Souder, CEO and President of
Alterity, Inc. (appearing on the
right), accepted the award at the kick-off of this conference
attended by more than 600 in Las
Vegas.
The
recognition, following close behind the
Intuit Gold Developer designation, marks ACCTivate! as one
of the premier products that integrates with QuickBooks, the world's
most popular accounting software product.
In
accepting the award, Ron later said that it increases our
responsibilities to our customers and the prospective users to maintain
and improve the quality of our software and service.
"We will continue to work toward
earning even greater accolades and awards from the most important
community, our customers," Ron said.
 The Sleeter Group is an
affiliation of QuickBooks Professional Advisors that promotes advanced
training and professionalism among its members.
Founded
by Doug Sleeter, a former
programmer and an accountant, and his wife,
Sherrill, in 1994, the Sleeter Group sponsors seminars
throughout the country and publishes manuals and books that are geared
to promoting improved QuickBooks business practices.

Redesign
Customer Self-Service
Modify the provided template
of the module to match the design of your own website or other style
 The Customer
Self-Service (CSS) module is an add-on that allows your customers to view
their account information online anytime - 24/7/365.
The module comes with a standard template that
can be modified by a web designer or developer to match
your existing website.
For
example: The menu page (shown at
right) is provided with the CSS module, but it can be stylized as
desired along with the other pages.
There
are virtually no limits when designing the layout, so page elements can
be designed as desired and CSS-specific database elements can be added.
You can add and change images, stylize fonts, change colors and the
layout, use different buttons, and more.

Kitting & Serial/Lot Number Modules
Two
of the most popular Add-on Features
Many ACCTivate! users
have found that ACCTivate! has many special features and modules that
allow them to manage their business in new and powerful ways.
This is clearly seen with
two of our most popular modules: kitting and serial & lot number control.
Kitting
The
ACCTivate! Kitting module is designed to accommodate companies that
sell products that are sold as a single unit but are composed of
multiple components that are collected or "kitted" when
shipped.
This allows you to keep
your components as separate products in your warehouse (you may even
sell them separately) and you don't have to go the trouble of
assembling them together until the order is placed. (ACCTivate! can do
that under the Assembly function).
Benefits from the Kitting Module
- Group products together.Group multiple
products together in one new product - the new kit.
- Only one number to remember.Your customer only
has to remember the new kit product, not all of the components.
- Full Bill of materials.The warehouse gets an
item-by-item pick list to pull and assemble the kit together.
- Default packing list.The default packing list shows
only the final kit product name.
- Flexibility.Like every printed document in ACCTivate!, this can be
changed to show all components.
- Options.We
offer several variants of the order confirmation, pick ticket and
packing list to accommodate user preference.
Serial
and Lot Numbers
ACCTivate!
allows you to create and track an unlimited amount of products that
have lot numbers or serial numbers.
You have full
control of these products from the time you receive them into your
warehouse, stock them, sell them and even track them after the sale.

the Serial/Lot Number Module

Flexibility in
tracking.Record lot or serial
number when the product is received (and track each number), or
don't record them and only enter that number when a product is
shipped (and reduce complexity).

Pre-assign a specific lot number or serial number for an order
when it's entered, or let the warehouse choose and record when
picked.

any time in the future for recall or review purposes.A complete history of each lot

windows allow searching for a specific lot or serial number across

Roger Le
Roger recently joined
the ACCTivate! team as technical
support rep.He brings with
him a great education, talent and a strong desire to help businesses
successfully apply technology to solve their problems.
Growing up in Arlington, Texas,
Roger became fascinated by computers and technology at a young
age.Like many kids, he started
out simply playing games.
However, he quickly moved beyond that and
became interested in business applications and how software and
technology can be applied to business.
This drive to look for business solutions
from technology lead him to work towards a
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems.Roger is currently a senior at the University of Texas
at Arlington
and will graduate in Spring 2007.
Roger has resided in the Arlington,
Texas
area his whole
life. In his free time, he
enjoys watching
Texas
football, volleyball and going on road trips.

The
next ACCTivate! release is undergoing testing!
Testing is progressing very well.We're working hard to provide a solid ACCTivate! release that is
well documented and very stable.
This update
contains a good number of enhancements and we're excited to be nearing
the point where users will be able to get their hands on it.
