Batch Process Manufacturing
New module compensates for variable components, variable yield

The next release, ACCTivate! 6.4 will introduce Batch Process Manufacturing, a new add-on module, which can compensate for variability's throughout processing and in the resulting yield due to the nature process and of the components or ingredients used.

Batch Process Manufacturing is key to businesses in industries that deal with products comprised of components (typically ingredients and packaging materials) that are not precise and once processed the components cannot return to their original state as with parts:

• Food & beverage processing
• Nutraceutical
• Pharmaceutical
• Cosmeceutial (cosmetics & personal care)
• Agricultural packaging
• Specialty chemicals
• Consumer packaged goods

In batch process manufacturing the ingredients/components or packaging material may routinely change in terms of quantity or types.

For example, let's take a business that processes tomato soup. In different seasons the type of tomatoes available may vary, the moisture content may vary from one shipment to another and the yield of the process (the actual number of cans produced) may vary.

Whatever the differences from one batch to the next, there has to be a way to record the variability's and ACCTivate! has the functionality to do so.

ACCTivate! handles variable components and variable yield with ease using the Batch Process Manufacturing feature. Using this new feature:

• Component quantities can be adjusted
• Components can be added, removed or replaced
• One or more lots of a given component/ingredient can be used
• The overall yield quantity of the product produced can be recorded
