> Add, remove or substitute parts before, during or after manufacturing

> Treats all component inventory as “Work in process” during production
> Depletes the “Work in process” upon completion and records the resulting inventory with the proper quantity & cost
> Cost components at LIFO, FIFO, average or actual (specific lot/serial) cost
> Cost completed production at standard cost or BOM rollup

Batch process manufacturing
For batch process manufacturing the Batch Manufacturing add-on feature is designed to create and record the actual yield resulting from a variable batch recipe or formula.

> Record the standard formula or recipe
> May include fixed materials, such as packaging in the formula or recipe
> Automatically determine the usage of fixed components based on the yield quantity
> Add, remove or substitute ingredients before, during or after processing
> Record actual ingredients used and the resulting yield quantity
> May record lot/batch numbers where appropriate for ingredients
> May assign lot/batch numbers to each production run
> Treats all ingredients and other component inventory as “Work in process” during production
