Operating systems
ACCTivate! runs in the Microsoft® environments listed above. Novell NetWare®, UNIX® and Linux® are not supported.
Database server
ACCTivate! uses Microsoft SQL Server in 32 and 64-bit variations and several editions:
For systems with large data volumes, Microsoft recommends that either the Workgroup or Standard Edition be used instead of the Express Edition. This recommendation is made to ensure the best performance and to allow for a higher total database capacity.

Disk requirements
Disk requirements may vary greatly by customer. Each installation must be analyzed as to the amount of data required for accounting and other purposes. In addition to data storage requirements, ACCTivate! requires 100 MB for program storage on the server and 40 MB on a customer workstation. For single user installations the requirement is 100 MB.
Email and Internet
ACCTivate! features and Alterity remote support rely on a strong internet connection. Alterity recommends a commercial grade internet provider.
Third party hosting
In the event a third party company is used for hosting the ACCTivate! software, the third party is required to sign the license agreement, as well as the end-user.

The CYMA edition does not support the 64-bit version of Microsoft SQL Server ...read more.
It does support 64-bit editions of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
